as found Exhibition

The first collection of as found was first exhibited in Seongsu as part of the as found exhibition, produced in collaboration with photographer Simone Bossi, marking its first public presentation. The installation occupied the entirety of a vacant building in the brief moment between demolition and refurbishment, when the structure remained raw and unkempt.

Located in the centre of Seoul, Seongsu is a district shaped by its industrial past, where former warehouses and factories sit alongside renovated cultural and commercial spaces. Concrete floors, exposed brick, steel frames, and traces of production give the area a layered character defined by transition and reuse.

Objects by as found were placed throughout the building, occupying corners, rooms, and open floors. Photographs taken by Simone Bossi during his travels were selected as his interpretation of as found and exhibited using layered hanji paper, echoing the worn surfaces of the building. Together, object, photograph, and site formed a temporary condition within a structure suspended between demolition and renewal.
